Our educators are bright, fun and vibrant people who love to work with children. Every child is an individual and we promise to embrace this individuality and create an inclusive environment where people from all walks of life and ability levels are welcome. We consider it an absolute privilege to work with children and their families, and fill their days with excitement and discovery.

What makes you passionate about working in childcare? I have always been very passionate about the Early Years as these are the foundations for long-life learning. Children learn so much in the first five years of their life and it is educators who are able to foster, nurture and extend these lifelong skills. I love having the opportunity to make that difference in every child’s life!
What is the funniest or most memorable moment you can share from working in childcare? My most memorable moment is when I was able to help Marcus’ Legacy in our local community in 2016. I was overwhelmed by the response I had in our service as we were a drop off point to collect presents for children in the hospital and also for children in foster homes who won’t be able to receive presents on Christmas Day. The response was tremendous as we were able to receive over 100 donations from local businesses and families. The children in the Kindergarten Room also made a couple of water paint canvas’ for the children’s’ ward to hang in their hospital as a reminder of our visit. When we went to drop off the presents Santa came and the smiles on the children’s and parents faces were priceless and I thought to myself this is what the spirit of Christmas is all about. I felt very honoured to be a part of the legacy and support such a great cause in our local community of Hervey Bay.
Why do you believe your centre is an excellent choice for parents seeking the best childcare? We pride ourselves in getting involved with community events, bringing everyone together and building a strong sense of identity. We also pride ourselves on the high quality of our program and planning, and we provide families with a keepsake journal of their child’s learning and development. We have beautiful natural outdoor areas with real grass and edible gardens that children have helped established here at the centre. Some of our Educatorshave been here since the centre was established in 2006 and we love that our Educators give that continuity of support to our families. This makes the difference in settling children into Early Childhood and making that big transition into care which we know can be daunting for families.
